Although we had fun on the podcast this week with this story, there is a serious side. Hippos imported to a zoo and then released are now having a huge impact on the local environment in Columbia. The animals have thrived – sending the local eco-system out of balance.
Clearly the UK governments 10 point climate plan was just a set of meaningless headlines. Why else would they then go on to allow the use of bee harming pesticides? Do they not understand that without bees we cannot feed ourselves?
