Russell has worked in and for Local Government ICT for over 30 years at all levels having been a programmer, analyst, project manager, security manager and in senior roles such as Head of Service, Programme Manager, Service Delivery Manager.
Having worked within the highly regulated UK Public Sector, Russell is no stranger to stringent social responsibility and environmental regimes. His expertise in frameworks such as ITIL, SFIA and others gives him insight into the many common aspects of managing and improving working environments for people.
Having transferred to the private sector in 2013, Russell remains passionate about public services and the power of collective action. Previously user forum chair and board member for SFIA, he is keen to develop Information Age Talent in organisations. Russell also likes to use his coaching and mentoring skills in bringing the best out in the teams with which he works.
