Although we had fun on the podcast this week with this story, there is a serious side. Hippos imported to a zoo and then released are now having a huge impact on the local environment in Columbia. The animals have thrived – sending the local eco-system out of balance.

Light pollution is becoming and increasing problem all over the world. Some estimates say it is getting 2% brighter every year. Some of the issues that this causes are sleep deprivation, depression, lost migratory birds, insect decline and lack of plant pollination. Be aware. Which light are you now going to switch off?
