Simple GDPR Awareness

Take a simple first step to GDPR awareness

Tell someone about GDPR… Go on… Do it… Now!  That is an important first step in beginning to create GDPR awareness.

If you are interested in how the General Data Protection Regulation affects you personally, you may be interested in our article Why should you and your family care about your personal data?  However, if you are involved in running an organisation you need to be aware of your responsibilities.

Planning for GDPR

You should of course take it seriously and create an awareness campaign within your organisation.

The following basic steps will be enough.

  • Ensure your board/senior managers are aware of the GDPR and what it might entail
  • Review any existing risks or data protection information that you already have
  • Conduct some overview training for all employees of your organisation
  • Speak to your partners and suppliers to make sure of their GDPR awareness as well
